Have you ever felt the immensity of the ocean, the sense of being a small part of something truly grand? That's the feeling that washes over you in the Revillagigedo Islands. Rising from the deep Pacific, these volcanic peaks are a sanctuary for marine life found nowhere else on Earth. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Revillagigedo Archipelago, located 250 miles off the southern coast of Baja California, Mexico, blurs the boundaries between the observer and the observed. Socorro Island, a jewel in the archipelago's crown, is a testament to the power and beauty of the natural world. Here, you're not just watching nature; you are immersed in it. Imagine drifting through the clear waters, surrounded by a kaleidoscope of life. Schools of hammerhead sharks glide effortlessly by, their distinctive silhouettes a testament to the unique biodiversity of these islands. Giant schools of jacks, barracuda, tuna, and wahoo shimmer and swirl around you, a dazzling display of the ocean's abundance. And the sharks! You can encounter Galapagos, silky, whitetip reef, silvertip, and blacktip sharks, each playing a vital role in the oceanic ecosystem. A sleek tiger shark might materialize from the blue, its distinctive stripes a flash of wild beauty. Playful dolphins, curious and intelligent, often approach divers, eager to interact. And then there are the mantas – the stars of the show. With their enormous wings, these majestic creatures perform an underwater ballet, gliding and swirling with effortless grace. They circle and dance, seemingly welcoming you to their world. Other animal encounters include humpback whales from mid-February to mid-April. During this time, the haunting songs of males fill the water, a symphony of the deep. Surface sightings are common. Whale sharks can be seen in November, December and May. The dramatic display of bait balls and false orcas can add to the May magic. A trip to Revillagigedo is more than just a dive; it's a pilgrimage to where the ocean's wonders unfold before you. And when you're not exploring the depths, you'll be doing so in comfort aboard one of our two vessels, Rocio del Mar and Quino del Mar. Both boats feature ten cabins, accommodating 20 divers, each with an ensuite bathroom. Our expert crew is dedicated to ensuring a safe and fun experience, from providing top-notch dive guidance to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere onboard. And between dives, you'll savor delicious cuisine prepared with fresh, local ingredients, adding another layer of enjoyment to your adventure. Join us and discover the magic of Revillagigedo for yourself.

Socorro, San Benedicto and Roca Partida are three volcanic islands that make up the Revillagigedo Islands. These islands are most commonly known as Socorro. Located 250 nautical miles south of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, it takes 24 hours to travel to this magnificent area. Our liveaboard boat trips to Socorro, San Benedicto, and Roca Partida and beautifully unique. Socorro is best known for the wonderful encounters with giant pacific manta rays, where the mantas come to the divers and are happy to stay throughout entire dives. This isn't all you will see during a liveaboard boat trip to Socorro, there are up to ten species of sharks including whale sharks, silkies, silver tips, white tips and sometimes tiger sharks. Dolphin encounters are always thrilling and from January through March these islands are home to a migratory population of humpback whales that come to breed and have calves. Whale sharks are seen mainly in November/December and April/May. Divers may also observe many different behaviors of manta cleaning stations, Bottlenose dolphin, wahoo, tuna, marlin and smaller creatures like eels, nudibranchs and octopi.
Diving Details:
We require all divers to be open-water certified. We strongly advise a minimum of 50 logged dives for Socorro/Revillagigedo.

Our dive decks are well-organized, and each diver is assigned a dive station. We have a spacious camera table with many power outlets and compressed air.
We provide 80 cubic ft. aluminum tanks that are both DIN & yoke compatible, as well as weights and belts.
We dive from two 18' Achilles inflatable pangas, each with a driver vigilantly looking for bubbles. Getting from the boat to the dive site typically takes just a few minutes. The pangas have sturdy, easy-to-use ladders.

We divide passengers into three groups, each with a divemaster to lead the dives. Each group will dress, receive a dive briefing, put on their gear, and board the panga. Divers enter the water with a back roll. Our crew is happy to help divers with knee or back issues. We dive as a group. At the end of the dive, the panga will come to you. Divers will remove their weight belt and BCD, and the driver will lift it into the boat. Once at the ladder, divers remove their fins and climb into the boat. When the panga returns to the boat, the crew will put your gear away for you. Our crew is happy to hand you your camera.
