Itinerary:

The boat embarks and disembarks in Labuan Bajo. For this itinerary, the whole of Komodo National Park including Banta Island will be covered. Diving activities will primarily be concentrated in Sape Straits (The straits separating Komodo and Rinca Island). Bima Bay and Sangeang Volcano in East Sumbawa will not be covered in this itinerary. There will be hiking in Gili Lawa Darat and also the walk on Rinca Island to see the Komodo Dragons.

DIVE ARMY will also be paying for every diver to have Nitrox on ALL dives (a $100 per person value).

Komodo is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of Indonesian islands, is the rugged habitat of the 3m-long Komodo dragon monitor lizard. Komodo National Park covers the entire region and is home to more than 4,000 dragons, and is made up of rusty-red volcanic hills, savannah and forests. Its surrounding waters of seagrass beds, mangrove shrublands and coral reefs are famous for diving.
 
Highlights of the itinerary: Manta rays in Makassar Reef & Manta Alley, variety of beautiful soft corals, schooling fishes such as Jacks, fusiliers, Eagle Rays, Napoleon and Bumphead wrasses, Oriental Sweet Lips, black tip sharks, nurse sharks, Oceanic White Tip Sharks, Dolphins, Great macro life, and "The Dragon Walk".
  • This itinerary offers 3 to 4 dives per day depending on daily location, including night dives.

  • Water temperatures can vary greatly within the park.
    - low of  72F/22C in the southern region
    - high of  84F/29C in the northern region.

  • 3-5mm wetsuit with hood is recommended year round.

  • Guests are also suggested to bring reef hooks for use at some dive spots

 

All diving is done from two 20" x 8' tenders.

The Yacht

The Indo Aggressor is a 98’ (124’ LOA) finely crafted twin-masted wooden sailing yacht built in the Pinisi style. Built and powered for comfort, safety and stability, she cruises at 8 knots and has 220-volt power onboard.

All staterooms have climate controls. The yacht includes the type C European 2 –pin electrical adapter plug and electrical outlet popularly known as the Euro plug. The Indo Aggressor sleeps 16guests in privacy and comfort. She features a roomy, air-conditioned salon and dining area, sun deck complete with lounge and deck chairs. The Indo Aggressor has a TV with media player, and stereo in the main salon.Diving amenities include camera table, and fresh water showers.

All meals, snacks and beverages are provided.

Getting There, Passports & Visa Documentation:

The Komodo National Park Indonesia is part of the Republic of Indonesia and is located 8 to 9 degrees south of the equator between Java Indonesia on the West and Lombok Indonesia and the rest of the Lesser Sunda Islands Indonesia (Sumbawa, Flores, Sumba and Timor) on the East.

Airlines fly into Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpassar Indonesia: Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Air, Eva Airways, and Qatar Airways. An overnight in a Bali hotel is required before boarding a domestic flight to Labuan Bajo where you will meet the Indo Aggressor.

Visitors must have a current passport (2 blank pages), adequate funds to support themselves, and a return airline ticket. US citizens require a passport that must be valid for 6 months from date of entry. It is the travelers’ responsibility to ensure they have the proper visa to travel into each country on his or her itinerary as well as for re-entry and return to their country. Since regulations vary by country, contact your consulate or embassy of your country for the requirement.

Arrival / Boarding / Departure:

Reaching the INDO AGGRESSOR® liveaboard for your Komodo scuba diving vacation will involve a round trip domestic flight from Bali to Komodo Airport near the city of Labuan Bajo (LBJ) on Flores Island in the East Nusa Tenggara province in Indonesia. The Indo Aggressor is scheduled to depart after everyone is onboard on the scheduled departure day. Guests should arrange to take one of the morning flights.

Once you have claimed your luggage in Labuan Bajo Airport, please look for an agent holding a Indo Aggressor sign or a sign with your name on it. A transfer company has been hired to meet and greet our Indo Aggressor guests who have arranged this transfer in advance.

The Indo Aggressor aims to return to port on the evening prior to disembarkation. Final disembarkation will occur between 8:00 am –1:00 pm at the end of the charter. Guests will be transported to the Labuan Bajo airport for a domestic flight back to Bali.

The departure tax is included in the cost of international and domestic airline tickets so you should not have to pay this locally at the airport.

 

Transfers:

The Indo Aggressor provides complimentary transportation to guests staying at a hotel in the same town as port of embarkation. If the distance of the hotel is more than 20 minutes away, there may be a surcharge.

Land Transfers: Bali transfers are not included in the charter. Transfers to/from domestic flights on embark/disembark dates are included.

Misc:

The Indo Aggressor requires that every diver carry a Surface Marker Buoy or SMB, also known as a safety sausage, signal tube, or surface marker on every dive to comply with dive safety standards. An SMB is an important safety accessary for every diver regardless of where you are scuba diving.

The use of a drone requires a local permit with an application process submitted to the harbor master of Labuan Bajo. They are forbidden in many areas.
Taxes and fees paid onboard the yacht are subject to change without notice.

 

Medical/ Safe Travel Requirements:

All travelers are required to ensure that they individually meet the safety/ medical travel requirements into the host country.

Local Fees/Taxes:

The below taxes and fees are paid onboard the yacht and are subject to a 10% VAT tax.

Komodo National Park/Port Fee: USD $170 (7-nights) and USD $180 (10-nights).

Fuel Surcharge:  USD $150 (7-nights), USD $200 (10-nights) or USD $220 (11-nights)

Note: Credit card payments onboard the yacht incur a 3% service charge.

Rupiah (IDR) is the official currency. It is required for all guests to have some local currency as overweight baggage charges MUST be paid in local currency.
